I checked our files, and I don't see where you purchased your pressure washer from us. It comes with a 1 year Factory Warranty from Briggs & Stratton, so you may want to give them a call at (800) 743-4115 if it's still covered. You will want to have the serial number of your pressure washer handy when you call them- they need it to set up the claim.

I bought this unit 2 years ago. I used it once right after I bought it and it worked great - had no problems. I just brought it out to clean the deck again and got half way through before I heard a plastic crack/pop sound and lost all pressure. Water came gushing out of the bottom of the unit.
Seems I'm not the first person to experience this product failure. Unfortunately, the warranty is expired so I have no recourse but to buy another pressure washer. Certainly will stay away from this brand. $350 down the drain - what a disappointment.

The situation you describe often happens when the unit has been allowed to freeze over the winter. Water droplets remaining in the pump expand when they freeze, causing damage that wouldn't be covered by the warranty.
All pressure washer manuals caution against letting the unit freeze. We also recommend the use of a Pump Saver product over the winter to help keep this from happening. It will also help lubricate the seals and pump if it has to sit for a long period of time. Any brand pump saver will work with any brand pressure washer, but Briggs does make their own.
I understand your disappointment. Please feel free to call us at 1 (866) 618-9274 if you'd like some help choosing a replacement.

Water gushes out the bottom of the unit. I can't figure out how to get it apart to fix it. Less than one year old and first use was yesterday.
Paperwork says do not return to place of purchase..... Now to try to find a shop to work on it. UGH!

Do not buy

Review Posted 05/25/2015
Purchased two of these units, one for my son as a Xmas present, the other for myself as a gift to myself from my Employers Appreciation Gift Website for 30 years of service. My son used his two weeks ago only to hear a pop after a few hours use and the units pump apparently failed. He called Lowe's where I bought it and they said to call Briggs and Stratton. He did. They referred him to one of their authorized "repair dealers" who informed my son he would have to pay $30 just to look at it.
I didn't have receipt, but luckily did charge is to my VISA card and had a record of the sale. I told him to take this back to Lowes before going to the Briggs Repair Dealer. He did. To their credit, they refunded the entire cost to my credit card. Thank you Lowes. Not so thank you to Briggs.
To make matters worst, I tried opening my pool yesterday and unboxed my unit and put it together. After one hour of use, I heard the same "pop" my son did and my unit experienced the exact same failure of the pump. Obviously, these units are defective and should be pulled from the market.
Again, DO NOT BUY THIS POWER WASHER!
I will be calling you once I try and get some proof of purchase from our Corporate purchasing agent. I don't have a traditional receipt.

Don't bother
By Ken H.
Harvard, Illinois
Purchased 03/18/2015 |
Review Posted 04/19/2015
I used my unit today, the three-way valve won't allow the degreaser to go to the wand. The unit is very awkward to use and tips over very easily. The unit barely had enough power to remove dirt and grime. All-in-all, it performs like something that should sell for under a $100.

I apologize for the issues you are having with the unit. I have attached a link for you to view the owners manual. On page 12, it gives detailed instructions on how to use detergents with the unit. Make sure you are following all of the steps. As far as the PSI, consumer grade electric units provide about the equivalent pressure as your local car wash. For concrete jobs, you may need a pressure washer that is 3000 PSI or above.

Chinese junk!!
By Peter K.
New Carlisle, Indiana
Review Posted 08/21/2014
Bought pressure washer thinking it would be good with the hose on a reel and every thing in a neat package! When I assembled unit found that reel handle was not sturdy enough to crank that heavy of a hose onto the plastic reel.
Should have a better location for electric cord! Reel should be used for that instead of high pressure hose! Then the plastic wheel continues to fall off at all the wrong times!!
I am not happy with unit! Do not waste your hard earned money on it!
