jetter hose quality

I purchased this hoe on April 20, 2015
did not have a chance to use it until yesterday 9-13-2015. I uncoiled the hose and laid it out on my driveway, connected it to my pressure washer and started it. as soon as the engine started, the hose leaked about 10 feet from the pressure washer. stopped the engine and upon further inspection, found that the hose has a 1" gash in it. obviously this is a manufacturing defect.
I called PED customer service today and was told that they can only exchange this item within 30 days of purchase. they gave me the manufacturer's phone number (Pressure Probe) and told me to call them for an exchange. when I called, I had to leave a message for the quality manager. he called me back very promptly, but he said that he could not help me since this product only has a 90 day warranty period and he said that I should have tried the hose on receipt, or before the 90 days ran out. When I asked if they test their product, he said NO. The only thing they do is receive the hose from the manufacturer, assemble it and then ship it. NO TESTING IS DONE. when I asked if they
I would like to add that Power equipment direct does sell a repair kit for this hose, he told me to take it to a hose place in my city (Louisville, Ky.) and have them repair it.not recommend these hoses be repaired).
As far as I am concerned, this product is a piece of Junk, and both companies do not stand behind what they sell. Me not using this hose within the warranty period has nothing to do with this. if the product is defective, they should replace it. period. no questions asked.

I apologize, but hoses only carry a 90 day warranty on them based on the harsh environment they get used in. These are wearable items and unfortunately, after the warranty period, there is not much we can do with replacing the hose. I do apologize for your experience and you can give me a call at 800-710-7499 with any additional questions you may have.

MTM Hydro cleaned it.

10 Years with plumbers hired to clear a sewer line, I was brought in to add to the plumbers called to solve the clogging issue.
I had to install new clean outs so while the pipe was exposed and easy to work with I went to work with the hose and nozzle. I found the previous plumbers never flushed the line while working the snake. All they did was create a 400' long obstruction to flow spreading the clog and not flushing it out.
Well the video will explain best what happens when a sewer line has low flow and how this hose and nozzle cleaned it.

The rubber coating chaffed off in a few places after only one day's use. Did not rupture.
Rubber coating is not that durable, rather thin and prone to fast wear.
I did give that hose a hell of a workout I must admit and the chafing did not easily peel off. I was running this down a 2' vertical access drop into a main sewer line and had to be aggressive with the hose to get it to feed it into the pipe. There was a rough edge that I had to deal with and the drain had a root that was fighting me for over an hour or more.
I will have to get some electrical tape or heat shrink tubing over the wear spot or I could get a rupture pretty easily on the next use.
I am a little disappointed on one hand, and understanding on the other that there is a trade off for flexibility, rigidity, and strength that comes with the territory.
I have a 250' 9,000 PSI sewer jetting hose that is built like a tank, but it is too rigid and inflexible for typical residential sewer drainage work with tight bends and turns.
Not a hose designed for hard core professional level drain cleaning work. Sufficient to save you a $1,500 on a sewer jetting plumbing visit however. So this hose paid for itself 10 times over on my home sewer cleaning.
I say this is a fair trade off and the value was there for me personally, all things considered.

You are exactly right- the trade off is between flexibility and durability. If you can pad rough edges with some split garden hose or tubing it will extend the life of your jetter hose.

EZ to order, fast delivery, arrived professionally packaged.
Yet to use this, but I am confident it will work as stated and designed.
Coils up very nicely, like the swivel end feature, product looks like it was engineered to last.
As with all my other purchases, flawless order to delivery flow. I am loyal to any company that delivers a good product at a fair price and quality is always my primary concern, NOT PRICE!
Note getting "Hosed" by sales tax (pun intended) also makes me very happy:-)
